Frequently asked questions

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading or the Japanese method of drawing eyebrows is one of the newest and currently most popular manual techniques of drawing hairs in the industry of semi-permanent make-up.

The microblading is a perfect solution for non-exitent or disobedient eyebrows that lasts 12-24 months, depending on the skin type, the type of pigment and the post-treatment care of eyebrows. A tiny blade, which is actually a group of densely packed needles, shallowly cuts into the epidermal layer of skin in the form of hairs that are wanted to be drawn.

Using a unique hand-held instrument, the process of manual eyebrow drawing creates a very natural look and enhances the natural facial features. Maintaining the eyebrows after treatment is very simple: hairs that grow out of the box are occasionally plucked while at the same time a surface on which hair has not been growing due to many years of plucking renews, and in some cases hair re-grows.

WHICH PIGMENTS DO YOU USE?

Permanent make-up performed with a device is done with certified micro-mineral pigments that do not present any health risk and ensure compliance with the skin. All colors are consistent with the safety standards set by the European Cosmetics Directive and pharmaceutical legislation (Directive 76/768/EEC, 6th Amendment of Directive 93/35/EEC3, EC Resolution ResAP(2008)1).

Colors do not contain harmful carcinogenic azo-compounds (without nitrosamines) and do not cause allergies. Certifications of pharmaceutical testing and toxicological assesment are available for all ingredients in all pigment substances. Swiss Color® pigments are marked with serial numbers, and their quality is continuously controlled by independent, accredited testing laboratories.

Swiss Color® pigments are available in more than 80 colors, enabling the creation of more than 400 different color shades. It is important to choose the right color and properly aligned pigment for every skin type. We will be happy to advise you and help you in choosing the most appropriate color for your skin type and complexion.

For Japanese eyebrow embroidery we use high-quality and consistent colors of US manufacturer Li Pigments which also possess all necessary certificates of import into the EU.

ARE THE TREATMENTS PAINFUL?

Before starting the procedure a liquid anesthetic is applied to the area you want to pigment so that the treatment of permanent make-up would be painless.

HOW LONG DOES THE PERMANENT MAKE-UP LAST?

The durability and stability of pigmentation will depend on many factors, and the most important are skin type and post-treatment care. The change in color can occur due to hormonal disorders, diet, medications, diseases of liver and kidney, etc.

Permanent make-up in ideal conditions and in an ideal skin can take up to 5 years, but it is impossible to predict how the pigment will heal and what will be the end result.

In the Japanese method of drawing eyebrows in ideal conditions the pigment can be seen even to 2 years, and it is recommended that you do a refreshment once a year.

CAN I CONTINUE WITH MY DAILY ACTIVITIES AFTER TREATMENT?

You can normally carry on with your activities immediately after the treatment or the Japanese method of drawing eyebrows, but it is not recommended to go to the gym or other activities that require some physical effort and sweating.

Plan your important events about three weeks after the treatment, when the flaking period is over.
